Angels, Anatomy

Seventeen images were planned at the outset of the Bless•TheFeminine angel series. Ten were shown at The Union Yoga Centre in August 08. The show launched amidst demonstrations of NIA, streetDance, yoga, spiritual sounding, poetry and story reading and meditations in the gallery/yoga studio, through 2 days of the Cabbagetown Festival. Amazing! See Participants.

The balance of the Bless•TheFeminine series, the next round of angelic forces in 2 and 3 D, have grown up – in number, media and attitude – having inspired my exploration into the anatomy and dimensions of these rare beings. Looking to launch in 09.

Automatic drawing

I am excited and complimented to report that work was begun in September 08 on a group of collaborations I am producing together with surrealist painter, Susana Wald. The first in the series, She Has Shed Her Skin was available as part of the Bless show in August at The Union Yoga Centre. Susana and I continue work as the spirit and the times provide.  See Automatic drawing.

Animals again

A series of leather bound animal tableaux – multimedia pieces I started years ago – is dusted off and ready for its next evolution. These small paintings are a little like good friends - they come and go as they please while I enjoy what time I can get with them...  !!
